Hydroelectric Powerplant Control Room,   Coastal BC

Artek Architecture

Powerplant on Hillside of Coastal Inlet

The new Hydroelectric Powerplant located on an inlet on the coast of BC was required to have a very high level of security and fire protection rating.

The task was to interpret very many engineering component drawings and to formulate a Control Room in the 2nd floor of the Powerhouse that suited the logistics of the plant.

The project required Brian Nelson Architect to prepare 8 sheets of drawings in order to illustrate the Control Room and its location in the Powerhouse. it's access / egress facilities and the high level of fire resistance technologies.
